Please answer each part:
What are the qualities of an effective/productive student? What are the qualities of an effective teacher? What does this class need in order to have a productive learning environment?

A productive student needs to be organized, I guess. I wouldn't really know because I myself am not a productive student, and all productive students i've met before were snobby jerks. As for teachers, I think it's important to have a good sense of humor, and I think they should give the students more privilages; my sixth grade teacher actually encouraged us to chew gum during class because he said it helps you concentrate. I'm not sure if it worked, but it sure tasted good.

And in order to have a productive learning enviroment, we need all the girls in the back of the room to stop talking during class.

An effective or productive student must not procrastinate. Procrastinating will get you nowhere. It will pay off to start homework when you need to and not stay up late the night before it is due. A student that is productive should also be well-organized so then they won't procrastinate.
I do not know how teachers should teach but I do know that i like teachers who have fun during class. I think it makes learning a lot easier when a teacher shows you that you can have fun learning whatever subject it might be.
Respecting your classmates and teacher will help with an effective and productive learning environment. It's ok to have fun but we need to think about others.

The qualities of an effective productive student is to participate in class, be on time, prepared and organized. Because that will make them ready to go in class and not waste time. The main quality of an effective teacher would be to relate to the student and let the class have a fun environment. But not let the “fun” environment get out of hand and too far off-topic. For a good learning environment we should not criticize each other, unless in a positive way, but respect each other’s views and opinions. Also to have a good environment not be too strict but let the class have their fun.

A productive student doesn't spend time drawing pictures all over their notebooks, they spend time listening to the teacher and jotting down any useful notes.
A productive teacher should have the day planned already not planning it as it goes. I think that a teacher shouldn't be just all work work work. They need to have a little excitement in their days so the students and themselves don't get bored.
To have a productive learning enviroment, we should seperate the people who talk to much with the people around them now and move them to other places around the room. So that some of us... can listen and not get distracted as easily.

In order to be productive, all of us students need to participate, be organized, do our homework, listening, and work together. We should all be able to have fun but also get things done. It is very important to listen to the teacher so that you know when things need to be turned in and also, what we are doing in class that day.
I think that the teachers need to be strict but not let everyone get away with stuff. Then need to have fun but we need to learn at the same time. They should be able to listen to what we have to say as well.
As a class we need to all work together to help everyone learn and be supportive to each and every person. I think then we will all succeed.

A productive student needs to stay focused on the assignment at hand, they need to listen and pay attention to the teacher, or to whom ever is speaking at the time, they must be organized and intent on learning.
An effective teacher needs to know how to grab the students attention, if the teacher can't keep the students interested than the students won't pay want to listen. I think a class needs to have a comfortable learning enviornment, if we aren't comfortable in the classroom we won't be as productive as we would normally be.

I personally agree with all my awesome classmates that having great organizational skills is key to being productive and successful. It might be hard and frustrating now but in the end it will make life much easier. A good teacher should have a great sense of humor and encourage it with the students. When this happens the learning
environment is more relaxed and the students are more likely to
focus on and enjoy the class.
Teachers should also recognize that
every student is different.

Now, just a reminder to all my classmates and to whoever wants to read this...I have power beyond your greatest imaginations and I am the king. And once again I do have power. Just one more reminder, if i find out that any of you are playing country music.....

I think the qualities you need as an effective/produtive student are be on time, do your homework and have it out at the begining of class, listen, and participate in the class discussions. The qualities of an effective teacher are they keep the classes attention by making the discusion fun, easy to talk about, and interact with.

In order to have a productive learning enviornment you have to keep your classmates encouraged to keep talking and respect them for what they are saying. Also distraction like talking is not a way to improve on that matter.

A productive student needs to pay attention in class; you won’t remember the homework or even what you’re doing if you don’t. I don’t a lot of the time but it does help. The teacher needs to be organized and have the class under control, even if it’s not very fun. Students need to be helped and answered there question. I love teachers who are funny. Teachers who are not are boring and usually old. The classroom really just needs to be quiet. You can concentrate more as long as you don’t think of what’s being said around you. It needs to neat and orderly to because the worst thing is to be trying to work with papers floating around. So yah there it is.

A productive student is one who pays attention in order to leanr to pass tests and move on to the next level, yet that person doesn't need to take it seriously(that is that seriously). The person should be organized, and distribute there work on projects.

A good student, other than being both effective and productive, must have organization, and creativity and stuff of that nature. A teacher should have a great sense of humor, be laid back and still be able to have fun, and must work well with teenagers. This class needs to have some respect, just a lil' bit. (haha fiddy cent is wierd) Yes'm, i do believe th-thats all folks...

I think some qualities of an productive student is someone who is a hardworker, orginized, studies and listens in class. In order to be effective as i student i think the student also needs to be motivated. I think an effective teacher needs a lot of different qualities one of them is being able to relate to his or her students and can hold a conversation with them. Because in my past i never liked the old teachers that never talked to us and just taught us. I also think the teacher needs to know what their doing. In able to have a productive learning enviroment i think everyone needs to feel comfortable around each other both the students and teacher.

The qualities of an effective/productive student is that they listen intently in class, pay attention, do their work, and try as hard as they can. The qualities of an effective teacher is to teach the student in a way they can understand. This class needs to work together and set all ideas out and consider ones they thought they would not.

A productive students needs to be on top of things. He/she needs to be organized. I think to be an effective teacher it is better to have more fun in class, ask questions about a students interests, and to not just talk boring but to show examples and other things. For this class to have a productive learning environment I think that we should not have side conversations, to pay attention, and do what the teacher tells us to do.

A productive student is one who can follow all of the class’s expectations. They must be able to turn in their work on time and have it completed. This makes the learning process go much quicker and work more efficiently. Another trait a productive student must have is the ability to get along with others and accept their opinions. This helps the whole class run much smoother and allows everyone to be happy. Organization is another important thing to keep up with. It helps you know where everything is and when it’s due. All these traits help make up a productive student.

I think that a productive student needs to be responsible, organized, and focused...there is probably a lot more "requirements." I wouldn't really know all that well because I've never been a productive student; I mean I've tried before and I guess that makes me a decent student, but I'm not really that sure.
An effective teacher needs to be able to laugh and encourage the students to do so also, because laughter just makes learning so much more fun. A good teacher also needs to be laid back and easy going, not really that strict about certain things, but still in control of the class and show the kids who's boss.
Our class needs to respect each other and the teacher. We need to be comfortable with each other and to be able to express our feelings without feeling strange. Yeah I guess that is about it.

I think that a prodictive student needs to be organized and respectful;especially respestful. If the student is respectful then the teacher will usually be able to let the class have discussions with eachother (on topic..) because the teacher can trust they won't be mean, interupt, and just go crazy.I really like self-directed classes where you can just discuss whatever the topic may be.I think that everyone who patticipates really thinks about the topic in different ways, and their learning generally expands and sinks in better.
Even though the students need to be respectful and obedient(ect..),I think that teachers also need to be aware of what their students are going through, and really listen to their opinions. Some teachers will, for exapmple, take a poem and an analogy in it and tell you "this means this.",and i student will say,"Well,i thought it meant this", and the teacher will more or less just shrug it off,or say "You're wrong. It's this."I really don't like that.i love meing abl ot have my own opinions on things,Even if they are really out there.

I believe the qualities of an effective and productive student consist of being organized, outgoing and having the want power to learn. It is always important to be organized because not only for school, but for life we will need to keep track and record important dates and events. Its also important to be outgoing because when it comes time to speak up in class or share information with a parnter you must be vocal and brave. When we mature with our lives our responsability and task list grows as well. I think it is mandatory to speak up and adress situations otherwise we will slide by at life and not enjoy it to the fullest. Finally i think that to be a good student one must want to learn. While most may just show up at school with a bad attitude, i think its important to make the best of everyday and go ovre and beyond to get a good grade while your able to learn.
I thik the biggest quality of an effective teacher is someone who can have "managed chaos"throughout the classroom. Although this sounds crazy, i think its better to learn in an interactive environment which is why people should be able to talk and communicate with eachother to a certain extent. This environment can only be acheived with the help from a teacher.
AS for a productictive classroom i think its necessary for everyone to get along and be willing to work with eachother.

To be an efective student you have to know what is expected of you and you have do everything in your power to live up to those expectations. As for a good teacher they have to make sure that everything they try to teach is relavent to today's society.

A productive learning environment is a place where people respect each other unconditionally and strive for the succes of the group as a whole.

The qualities of a productive student are having all there materials with them and ready to go at the start of every class. They should not be talking or drawing during lectures, but taking productive notes, which will help them study.
The qualities of a productive teacher should be that they have they class period set up and ready to go when the period starts, not be getting ready after the bell has rung.
This class in my opinion already has a good learning environment and looks like it will be a great semester

A productive student needs to be organized, which includes coming to class with all the neccessary items, and being on time. An effective student needs to get their homework in on time, and do all the homework assigned. (that can also go with the productive part.)A productive student should not leave all their work until the very last minute. An effective teacher should help students when needed. They should have a good sense of humor, and make the class enjoyable, so people like coming. I think that in order to have a productive class, people should listen to each other, respect each other, listen to the teacher, and to not talk when other people are talking.

I think a productive student should first of all be consistent. Be consistent with writing down assignments and getting them done. This includes studying, participating in class, etc. If you do this stuff a lot, it becomes a habit, and ensures that you get assignments done and come to class prepared with your work completed. Also, like other classmates have said, organization helps a lot with making things more simple. You can find things and put them away more easily, and it saves time in the long run. In addition, never procrastinate. being an expert procrastonator myself, I know that things like TV, friends, video games, etc. are tempting, but you should always get your work done first, because then you dont end up in a time crunch and things are a lot easier to do in the long run. If you do all these things, i think you'll be a very productive student.

Sorry, I forgot to write about teachers. I think good teachers should create a system where students can have fun with what they are learning, so that they aren't just listening to lectures and writing notes; and so students can enjoy what they learn.

An effective/productive student will always be promt to the work he or she is working on. They will always complete their work ontime. They will never procrastinate and do poor work. An effective teacher is one who is on a personal basis with his or her students. He or she will know their students names first of all, and second, know many things about that student. Being on good terms with the children will urge students to do good work and be polite. To have a productive learning enviroment, the class needs to get to know one another. This will help to make the class more of a community, working together to succeed.

A Productive and effective student, always has there work done, and is on top of things when he or she is in class. Teachers who are productive and effective, are good at comunication with they're class. They also make the learning enviorment fun, so its not so stressful.

For a productive learning enviorment, students must have respect towards eachother and the teacher to make it easier for everyone to be there.

A productive student uses his time wisely. They always do their homework before they get to school. An effective teacher makes class fun. The teacher could bring in snacks because snacks help me concentrate. A class needs a good learning environment. You can accomplish this by having everyone participate.
