Please respond to the question your classmates came up with:

Do you think life would be better if you knew what was fated for your future?

If you knew your future and could not change it, just it was your future no matter what you did, there would be no point to living. You wouldn't do anything because it would no longer matter what happened, whether your "fated future" was good or bad, no matter what you did, it would end up the same exact way. So i don't think that life would be better at all if you knew your future.

OK, heres the way I look at it. Lets say your life is a book. And somewhere along the third chapter someone spoils the book for you. They tell you everything that's going to happen. Well, whats the point of reading if you already know everything about it? One of the cool things about life is its totally random. And the fact that I don't know what's going to happen next is just another bonus. So back to the original question, no, my life would suck.

I think it really depends on the person and on if you would be able to change your future or not. Some people woundn't mind seeing what would happen in their future even if they couldn't change it, but other people wouldn't want to see what is going to happen if they couldn't do anything to change it.

If you knew the fate of your future, your life wouldn't be as care free. If you knew your future (like matt said) your life would be spoiled because you already know the ending. Life should be lived at fullest and you shouldn't know whats going to happen. I think thats the greatness about life! There is a new suprise every day and if you knew your fate, that part of your life would be missing and life wouldn't be as fun.

I think it would not matter if life would be better if you knew your fate because every single thing you do could change the outcome of your future. I say yes and no because what if your fate was bad, then you could change it. But if your fate was a good then you would want to travel on the path towards that fate.

Life is all about the surprises and outcomes of what you do. If you know your future, then there is no reason to continue on with life anymore.

I think its better to not know your future, it makes life more interesting
Its kind of like ordering a civil war chess set through the mail, you get one piece every 6-8 weeks and no matter what the condition is you still have to pay the handling charges.

It depends on your future. If you know you will have a great future, you can just sit back and relax and enjoy your youth. But if you had a bad future, you would start wearing really tight jeans.

I don't think that life would be better if I knew what was going to happen to me. A friend once asked me that if i had the chance, would i go into the future and find out who i married? I said no because, if i knew what was going to happen in my life already, it wouldn't be as fun. I think that life should be about making your own decisions and not already knowing how your life is going to turn out.

I think that life would be better if you knew the bad things that are coming but if you knew the good things that are soon to come than life would be boring. I don't think anyone would want to know what is coming up because when you are surprised it is so much better.

"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get" - forrest gump
Not knowing what kind of chocolate we get in life is a suprise everyday. I think its important to just life each moment at a time. If we purposly bought a whole box of plain milk chocolates it would be so boring reaching and grabbing one everytime becausey you know what you are getting. If we know what our future holds for us there is no point in being supprised. We wouldnt have to think because we knew the outcome of everything, we wouldnt have to plan ahead because we already have a master plan. I think living life and knowing exactly what is going to happen would be boring which is why i believe it is important to learn from your decisions and pave your own path to life.

If anyone knew there fate than there would be no point to see what tomorrow would bring because there would be no point to life. The world is drawn by fate but few are able to see and/or change it. If everything was determined on fate then living would have no purpose. It would be better if people would rely on their "common" interests. I say common because some people have certain levels of standerdism.

No because then life would be alot more boring knowing what would happen at the end.

I believe that the coolest parts of life are the ones where i'm hanging' out with my friends and we're like "hey, you wanna go turn of the automatic doors at albertsons and film it?" or "hey, you wanna go pretend to mug each other on the sidewalk?" What i'm getting at is that if we were to know what was coming, then it wouldn't be as fun to do. But there are plus sides as well, such as if i knew i was gonna die. I would do freakin' everything i ever wanted to do in my whole life. (including getting an evil monkey, and being part of a heist. Wouldn't it be cool if the getaway van pulled up and the monkey was driving the van? "get in! weeeeee gottta go!" Hooray for Dane Cook!) skydiving, bungee jumping, airplane lesssons, government hacking, ninja skills, etc.
But the funnest thing would be trying to deny fate. if i was destined to go to Albertson's tommorow, i would go out of my way to hit burger king. Just so i could have a different experience than what is planned.
Knowing the bad theings is the only other positive. With something like a car crash or a DeKoavand cross country practice, i would know when these things are coming up so i could try to stop them, or be able to change them.
What i'm taking a really long time to say is life is made up of the uber suprising things, or unplanned, spontaneous things, or crazy freak-out things. If i knew those things were coming, life wouldn't be life, it would be a re-run of the sitcom of "Brandon and Co."
Cool huh?

ByeBye

Oh my goodness no!I think that almost all the fun in life would be sucked right up! I think that one of the biggest things that makes life fun and interesting is never knowing what will happen next. If somehow we could pre-determine our fate then, number one, there would be no mystery, no excitement, nothing spontaneous an unexpected, and number two, I think it would make me feel really small. With my knowlege, as is now, I couldn’t even begin to guess to tell you where I will be in about ten years. I could be in college, I could be a mom, for all I know, I could be president. I truly have no idea where I will be. If I did know where I was going to be, sure, I could probably prepare myself for it a little better than if I didn’t know, but knowing that that is where I'd would scare me too, because that would mean that no matter what I did, I'd really have no say in my future, so if I suddenly decided that I wanted to be a strong leader of peace, like for instance Ghandi, and I knew that in ten years I was going to be a music teacher, I most likely wouldn’t even attempt to help people. I think that it would be a lot better to maybe go for that peace goal, and even if it didn’t work out, help the people I could before pursuing my teaching career, instead of just becoming a teacher and leaving all the people that I could have helped, in the dust.

I would like to know the good things in life, like who I would marry,What collage I would get into, were I would live. But the bad things I would not like to know like when I would die, were I'd go after I died. But the good,I would most definitley be ready to know about.

No, i think that if you would know whats goint to happen to you in the future. Also you wouldnt be able to change what will do. And life would be horible if you knew things that were bad that are going to happen.

Personally for me, knowing my future before hand would be a horrible thing to incounter. The main reason is because-when you know that something great is to be held in your futur and something bad is to be in your future then it goes straight to mind that u dont need to do anything because you already know whats at hand. But if Know that your future is going to be unfortunete then you should get your act together and fix the mistakes that caused your futute to be what youve seen it is to be.

Personaly, I think that if we all knew our positions in the future and we knew what will happen to us good or bad, it will benifit us. Reason being is because whatever way it is tilted, good or bad in ones'future, he/she can fix or continue what they are doing in their lives. And if people could see that...they would want to change their ways and their is no doubt about that.
